Glenmorangie Lasanta is a single malt whishy which is characterised by its double ageing, firstly 10 years in white oak bourbon casks, supplemented by 2 years in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez in Spain. Lasanta means "sweetness" and "passion" in Gaelic. What a way to go for an enticing, smooth and elegant malt.

Tasting notes
Colour: reddish gold
Nose: A real dessert, with smells of chocolate, honey and caramel. The image of a crunchy and creamy crème brûlée quickly appears. Adding a dash of water, caramelised apricots and hazelnuts emerge. Warm spices combine with chocolate covered sultanas, honeycomb structure, and caramel-toffee.
Palate: sweet sherried raisins, orange segments, nuts and toffee make for a terribly warm and indulgent whole.
Finish: long and convincing finish with spicy orange and chocolate covered hazelnuts.
