Louis Eschenauer Bordeaux Supérieur is a grape variety that contains 60% black Merlot, 30-35% Cabernet-Sauvignon, and 5-10% Cabernet Franc that comes from the region of France. The Bordeaux Supérieur Eschenauer has a brilliant, deep red colour with ruby highlights. The nose has a complex and delicate aroma of red fruit, blackcurrant and plum. A powerful palate with ripe tannins and a long fruity finish with hints of smoke. This wine is made using the traditional method of vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, with regular pumping over for better extraction of fruit colour and structure. Part of the cuvée is aged in American oak barrels. In total, the Louis Eschenauer Reserve is aged for a minimum of 12 months in our cellars where it is also bottled. It is grown on clay-limestone soil. The Louis red wine is a perfect match for red or white meat, charcuterie, quail and even porcini mushrooms and can be served between 16°C and 18°C.
