This golden single malt with topaz hues has a nose marked by exotic fruits. It evolves on violets, tobacco, vanilla and sugar cane. The fresh and heady palate, reminiscent of bananas and ripe fruit (pear), develops gently on malted barley. The finish reveals notes of cocoa beans and slightly bitter chocolate. Maturations are very fashionable these days. If some of them are questionable, this Gran Reserva version is anything but. An official version available in limited edition.
