Bosch patented radar technology enables the D-tect 120 detector to detect objects such as water-filled PVC pipes, cables up to 60 mm deep , magnetic and non-magnetic metals up to 120 mm deep . Choose from 3 detection settings, depending on the materials: plasterboard, concrete or universal mode. The D-tect 120 from Bosch is a detector for substructures, metals, electrical cables and pipes in walls.

With point display, the D-tect 120 detector starts detecting objects as soon as it is placed on the wall. If an object is detected, the LED lights up red. If the object is not detected, the search symbol will appear and the LED will illuminate yellow, instructing the user to move the pipe finder along the wall to scan for the object. The green light indicates that no object has been detected.

Special arrows and the signal strength indicator guide the user to the object and allow him to follow it, for example, along a wall. The center find function indicator shows a cross when the detector has located the center of the object. For great versatility, the substructure detector can be used either with a 12 volt lithium battery or with normal AA batteries, using the adapter.

For great results:

• Make sure there is voltage in the cable you are looking for, i.e. turn on the light.
• Remove any metallic jewelry and gloves
• Turn off or remove electronic devices near the affected area that may interfere with detection
• Turn on the instrument and select the correct detection setting for the application.
