Choosing the right location
The place where you install your fridge should be able to support the weight of a full fridge. To do this, the surface must be hard and smooth, with no floor covering.
Note: Do not place the refrigerator near heat-generating appliances or in places where the temperature drops below 5°C.
Also take into account the ventilation space required. Allow 50 mm sideways and 100 mm front to back from walls and other objects.
Also, don't forget to ensure that the door opens without obstruction. If you wish to reverse the direction in which the door opens, refer to the enclosed instruction manual.
Adjusting the feet
To avoid noise and vibrations, it is important that the refrigerator is firmly anchored to the floor. To adjust the balance of your appliance, follow the instructions below (see photo).
- Adjust the feet with a screwdriver
- Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into one of the notches on the foot.
- Turn the regulator to the right to raise the refrigerator and to the left to lower it.
- Perform the same operation on the other foot.
Power supply and earthing
- Insert the supplied plug into an earthed socket to ensure maximum safety.
- Do not insert the plug into an extension lead and/or connect the earth wire to plastic pipes, gas pipes or hot water pipes.
Other factors to check
Most delivery companies transport refrigerators in an upright position. If your refrigerator has been left in a horizontal position for a long time, wait 4 hours before switching it on. This prevents the oil/refrigerant from damaging the system. We therefore recommend the following temperature settings:
- Cooling section: approx. 4°C.
- Freezer section: approx. -20°C.
