Network Cable Tester feature
Network Cable Tester ensures your network is working properly by testing your cables for shorts, bare wires, cross pairs and other problematic cabling issues. Use it to test your original Ethernet patch cables to ensure they are working properly before connecting them to your telephone and network cables. The easy-to-read LED display signals problems. Hand-held for portability. Requires one 9-volt battery (not included).
HIGHLIGHT
- If more than one cable is not connected, several lights will not illuminate. If less than two cables are connected, none of the lights will be on.two ends of a cable are out of order, e.g. NO. 2and NO. 4, then appears: Main tester
- Main tester: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-G
- Remote tester: 1-4-3-2-5-6-7-8-G
- If two cables are connected in short circuit, none of the corresponding lights are lit on the remote tester, while the main tester remains unchanged. If three cables, three of which are shorted, none of the corresponding lights are on.
- If you are testing patch panels or wall mounting plates, two cables (RJ45) that can match each other will be connected to the tester.
- When testing cables of the same axis, BNC lights up when the cable is working.
- A redundant 9 V battery is used in this tester. It is advisable to change the battery if a low light appears (the battery is not included).
